The Cock Inn, Hanbury
The Cock Inn, on Hanbury Hill, is a Freehouse, which from early 2019 has been under new management.
The traditional pub building was extended some 15 years ago to provide a 60 seat restaurant with extensive views over the Dove Valley to the north, and the Trent Valley to the East. The restaurant is open for lunches, evening meals and Sunday Lunch. There are 3 bar areas, the Lounge Bar, the Main Bar with its open fire during the colder times of the year, and the Restaurant Bar for pre-dinner drinks.
Outside, there is a patio and beer garden with plenty of seating and a childrens' grassed play area with swings and a slide.
The pub is a perfect starting point for local area walks on numerous well signed footpaths. (Please see the Footpaths link below).

The Cock Inn on Hanbury Hill was rebuilt after the original pub was demolished by the Fauld Explosion in November 1944. A new restaurant was built in 2002 to make use of the wonderful uninterrupted views to the north over the Dove Valley and the Weaver Hill, some 17 miles distant.
The Beer Garden is adjacent to a quiet country lane, so there is no noise of a main road to spoil the peace.
